Back to the fun stuff now that the certification chase is over! ๐ Hello snatches and presses! โค๏ธ
One thing I'm focusing on is cleaning up my kettlebell snatch. That little twist I've developed is becoming more apparent under fatigue. Time to dial in the technique! ๐ง
On the plus side, bench pressing has been a real friend to my shoulders, and my military press is feeling the benefits! ๐ช Planning to cycle bench in every couple of months to maintain that strength. ๐๏ธ
Today's workout breakdown:
๐ 20kg 1/2 snatches: 5 sets of 32 reps (160 NL)
๐๏ธโโ๏ธ 36kg Military Press: 3 sets of 3+3 reps (easy strength principles)
๐ช 10kg dumbbells (each hand) on 12-inch step ups: 3 sets of continuous work for 90 seconds, followed by rest until heart rate drops below 130 bpm.
Still noticing a slight weirdness in my right shoulder during the military press. Likely a sign I'm overcompensating with my pec instead of engaging the scapula properly. Progress on right scapular movement is there, but it needs more attention. ๐
